BEHIND THE FORMAT

W/ KIARA IN LA

10+ years behind the scenes. Now I'm pulling back the curtain.

Hi, I’m Kiara!

I've spent the last 10+ years working behind the scenes of various TV shows — producing stories, wrangling talent, developing ideas, solving production chaos, and learning what actually makes a format work.

I've worked across some of the biggest names in entertainment, from Netflix and NBC to Disney, Warner Bros., and Peacock.

After years of being the person behind the camera, I've realized something:

There are SO many people who want to get into this industry but don't know where to start.

So I'm opening the door.

Welcome to Behind the Format.

AND I LEARNED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

Filmed OTF’s, B-Roll, Organized, Built, and Helped shaped numerous stories

So, What Is Behind the Format?

The industry doesn't come with a handbook.

So I decided to make one.

Behind the Format is a space for aspiring producers, creatives, storytellers, and curious people who want to understand what really happens behind the scenes of entertainment and advance within it.

I'm pulling back the curtain on what I've learned over 10+ years in Unscripted TV — from developing ideas and producing talent to navigating the industry, building relationships, and turning a concept into something people actually want to watch.

No gatekeeping. No fluff. Just the real stuff.
